Psychopharmacology Part 1: Drugs of Abuse (6 CEUs)

The workshop will provide participants with an overview of the different classes of drugs of abuse. Participants will learn the history and cultural/political issues that led to the “War on Drugs.” Each drug class will include information about the signs and symptoms of intoxication, withdrawal, and overdose and in which state people are most at risk. An overview of concepts like half-life, agonists, antagonists, etc. Important considerations of Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) (6 CEUs).
