DESCRIPTION:Presbyterian Healthcare Services – Community Health Department and Serna Solutions are partnering to provide this important training service on Health Equity. This online training is focused on Northern New Mexico – the confluence of cultural exchange since time immemorial. This workshop will give participants an opportunity to explore how multiple waves of colonization have impacted issues that affect clients today. Experiential exercises will provide participants with insights into historical trauma\, applied attachment theory\, and cross-cultural counseling competencies. DESCRIPTION:Motivational Interviewing (MI) Level 2 is designed for persons who have completed an introductory training and have begun to utilize the model in their practice. This training will help participants to further develop MI skills and strategies beyond the basics in a supportive and challenging environment. Advanced strategies for eliciting change talk and advance OARS will be provided. Participants will hone their skills by participating in experiential exercises with other MI practitioners who will provide strength-based feedback. DESCRIPTION:This training will provide participants with critical information and hands on exercises regarding best practices for providing ethical clinical supervision. It starts with a review of ethical principles that govern the Code of Ethics for all helping professions followed by an interactive ethical dilemma exercise. We will then explore ethical considerations related to culture\, evidence-based practices and telehealth. There will be a one hour lunch break at noon MST. This training will be limited to 60 participants. (6 CEUS)\nThis training satisfies the 6 hours of Supervision Ethics requirement for behavioral health licensees in the State of New Mexico.

SUMMARY:Family Empowerment Project+
DESCRIPTION:The Family Empowerment Project+ is a new approach designed by Serna Solutions to address and inform responses to co-occurring Addiction/Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health Disorders. FEP+ organizes evidence-based approaches such as Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) and Motivational Interviewing to support concerned significant others through a skills-based curriculum. This 2-day training is designed for behavioral health care providers to learn a new approach for supporting community members who have loved ones challenged by co-occurring disorders. This training includes psychoeducation on co-occurring disorders\, communication skills training\, behavioral change\, and motivation skills\, self-care for clients\, and how to facilitate the navigation of behavioral health services. This 9am-4pm (both days) online training requires a working camera and microphone to attend. You must attend both days to receive credit\, and there will be a 1 HR lunch break from 12-1 pm\, MST (12 CEUs).
